Tennessee and Iowa Unemployment Insurance

As far as what the unemployment people tell me in both states from what the paperwork from both states says, Iowa pays 361 per week maximum benefit and Tennessee pays a maximum benefit of 275 per week.

Now, if I could just get my phone calls returned so that I can file properly...

I'm glad I don't work for the unemployment agencies. This period of time would have those people really stressed out from overcapacity of claimants.

Did you ever get your unemployment taken care of? I'm just curious. I moved from TN to IA, my neighbor told me that I would get paid from TN which is much less than Iowa. I was just wonder if that was true from your experience. My email is relocate09@aol.com.

Yes, I did. My record was rather messed up, and I had to talk to a live human being every week to file. The automated system and the phone system didn't like me too well.

Later, my husband filed, and the state of Iowa accepted an extra 25 dollars per week as part of the stimulus money. (TN rejected the money BTW). He didn't have any problems with filing because I told him all the correct ways to file after my nightmare of an experience.
